Learning to Learn
Learning to Learn involves developing a set of skills and habits which facilitate a self-awareness and resilience in learning. It also helps in transferring learned skills from one context to another and in helping you as an individual understand how you best learn and how to use this learning most effectively.
Learning to Learn does this by helping learners use metacognition (thinking about learning) to embed the above skills.
Jackie Beere has introduced programmes for Learning to Learn at Campion School with great success and enjoyment. They have included activities such as:
* learning about how the brain works
* analysing learning styles and preferences
* social and emotional intelligence and how to get it
* thinking skills
* healthy body, healthy brain
