Creative Thinking for Independent Learning

Philosophy for Children - creating a community of enquiry

What does sadness taste like?

Where does the sky stop?

What colour is Thursday?

QUESTIONS ARE POWERFUL LEARNING TOOLS.

Philosophy for Children can improve higher order thinking skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas.  Students are encouraged to consider questions that have no clear cut answer and talk through impossible ideas.  There is evidence that this type of debate expands their thinking and communications skills.

Philosophy for Children fosters a style of learning which will improve both the IQ and EQ of your students.  You, and eventually your students, will learn how to lead a community of enquiry in your classroom which will encourage excellent speaking and listening skills and higher order thinking.  Philosophy for Children is suitable for all ages and stages of schooling.
